Freedom and Peace Requires an “All Hands on the World Approach”

To pursue freedom and peace, we must come together as one people to fight against things that prevent freedom and peace.   We start by taking an “All Hands on The World Approach”
Elect leaders who work to solve problems rather than cause them. All Leaders should be willing to Solve their differences with leaders of other countries peacefully.  War should not be an option in this modern day period.

Vote leaders out of their positions who are dividing the citizens by their bias behavior with certain people.  A leader should have the best interest of all the people in his or her plans to carry out the job he or she was elected to do.

Spiritual Leaders should always stand with the people and demand righteous behavior from elected politicians. When righteousness prevails, all of the people needs are met.

The Fight against Violence

It is clear that many young people are committing acts of violence against others, and destroying property.  This behavior is out of control. The teachings of moral values and personality traits have been ignored in many families. The results are a society of violent behavior that has made our world unsafe. Some parents are afraid of their children. This should never be the case.

Two Brothers Kicked of their Elementary School Due to Bad Behavior

The mother of these two children told me they are in third and fourth grade.  And that she does not understand why her children are so bad.  She said she has to teach them herself, because they are too bad for school.  Her problem is fear of being attacked by her sons.  She said when she went into their bedroom to get them up to begin their homework they chased her out, and told her to stay out of their room!  According to the mother, their father lives in the same house with the three of them.

Problems caused by out- of-control- behavior; that exists in many families are released into society.  The responsibility rests upon the shoulders of all of us to work together, and do the job these parents have not done. Those who have children in their care, the schools; and our spiritual leaders can help teach children and their parents, the importance of having respect for others, and for themselves.

Let's place our hands on the world, and work together for freedom, and justice for all people.
And peace will exist in the world.

*These are health issues we are dealing with worldwide: hunger, diseases, sicknesses, and loss of lives that makes this of a serious concern in the health industry and to others.

Anorexia Nervosa: the Effects

Anorexia means loss of appetite.
This is a very serious health problem. In Latin, "Nervosa" means nervous. The body's Nervous System is attacked by this eating disorder.
Anorexia Nervosa is a condition in which its victims starves themselves. This disorder has taken the lives of many females. Its victims are teenage girls and young adult females, although some young males are said to suffer from this disease as well.

The Effects of Anorexia Nervosa, is done by the interference of starvation that disrupts the biochemistry makeup of the body's systems.

The Effects of Anorexia Nervosa:

Hair loss, dull looking hair
Depression
Emaciation
Excessive fatigue
Sleep disturbance
Hormone imbalance
Amenorrhea (lack of monthly cycles)
Constipation
Halitosis
Corroded teeth
Slow pulse
Brittle fingernails
Low blood pressure upon standing
May have difficulty sleeping

Behavior of the Anorexia Nervosa  Individual

The characteristic behavior of Anorexia Nervosa is secretive and defensive. The individual is preoccupied with food and weight gain, that dominates their thought process. They often feels hungry but denies they are. They will normally wear larger clothes to conceal their body shape and weight loss.

The person suffering from Anorexia Nervosa, may resort to drugs and alcohol, to alleviate the feeling of hunger and depression. Having a relationship with someone is very difficult for this individual to do, because of the psychological state of their mind. Therefore, they are often in an isolated position, due to one or more failed relationships.

This condition is a psychological illness which causes the victim to believe they are overweight, when in reality they are very thin. Those who suffer from Anorexia Nervosa induces starvation due to fear that they will become 'fat' if they loose control over their diet, and possibly their life.

Anorexia Nervosa has taken the lives of thousands of females. This disorder can easily affect those who are obsessed with having a thin body. Many who suffers from this condition reportedly, have been hospitalized several times. Some have died by suicide or by starvation, although they were treated in a hospital.

The Other Faces of Addiction

 Ellen J. Barrier

Medical Professional
Product Consultant

When most people hear the word addiction, they associate it with heroin, and cocaine. They don't consider the facts behind addiction, those are the other faces. There are other people who are addicted to other things that many of us would think are harmless, which are misguided beliefs. Anything that one feels they can't live without, that satisfies them, and gives them a sense of comfort and security, is an addiction.

The faces behind this kind of addiction are people of all ages, and nationalities, professionals, and nonprofessionals. This kind of addiction, can trick the individual into thinking they are not addicted. And that they are different from those who are using heroin or cocaine. Be it heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs, caffeine, alcohol, tobacco or others, any kind of an addiction is very serious.

My Story:

I once was addicted to crushed ice. I went to bed with a bottle of crushed ice, and I woke up with a desire for my crushed ice. I had to have my crushed ice, throughout the day, and night. I realized that this was not any different than any other addiction, and I prayed to God to help me to get rid of this addiction, and he did. It took me a while, but I defeated that overwhelming desire to have crushed ice.

My problem was so serious, I would freeze a bottle of water, and rap it against the kitchen sink, until the ice was very soft.  (That was a noisy process.)  My husband and children teased me about my ice eating habit. But that didn't bother me, I didn't care. The thing about any addiction is that the individual becomes insensitive to others. Crunching on ice, and making loud noises while breaking the ice into pieces in the bottle was rude, but I was addicted to crushed ice.

I didn't realize any of those things I was doing were wrong. It all seemed harmless. In my weakness, I judged myself, and made the decision that this was O.K., because I wasn't hurting anyone. We all have to have a spiritual awakening before we can come face to face with our weaknesses, in order for us to overcome them.

Autism

__ Ellen J. Barrier
Author/Medical Professional /

Autism is one of a group of serious developmental problems called autism spectrum disorders (ASD) that appear in early childhood — usually before age 3. Though symptoms and severity vary, all autism disorders affect a child's ability to communicate and interact with others.

The number of children diagnosed with autism appears to be rising. It's not clear whether this is due to better detection and reporting of autism, a real increase in the number of cases, or both.

While there is no cure for autism, intensive, early treatment can make a big difference in the lives of many children with the disorder.

Social skills

Fails to respond to his or her name
Has poor eye contact
Appears not to hear you at times
Resists cuddling and holding
Appears unaware of others' feelings
Seems to prefer playing alone — retreats into his or her "own world"

Children with autism generally have problems in three crucial areas of development — social interaction, language and behavior. But because autism symptoms vary greatly, two children with the same diagnosis may act quite differently and have strikingly different skills. In most cases, though, severe autism is marked by a complete inability to communicate or interact with other people.

Some children show signs of autism in early infancy. Other children may develop normally for the first few months or years of life but then suddenly become withdrawn, become aggressive or lose language skills they've already acquired. Though each child with autism is likely to have a unique pattern of behavior, these are some common autism symptoms:

Some researchers have suggested environmental factors may play a larger role in triggering autism than was previously thought.

Symptoms:

Bipolar disorder is characterized by cycles of depression and mania, a euphoric, high-energy state that can result in heightened levels of creativity or output as well as erratic or risky behavior. People with bipolar disorder are at high risk of substance abuse and suicide, and treatment includes psychiatric care and medication.

Study:
About 2.4% of people around the world have had a diagnosis of bipolar disorder at some point in their lifetime, according to the first comprehensive international figures on the topic.

The United States has the highest lifetime rate of bipolar disorder at 4.4%, and India the lowest, with 0.1%.
However, fewer than half of people with the disorder were treated by a mental health professional, and only a quarter of those in lower-income countries sought treatment, according to the 11-nation study in the March issue of Archives of General Psychiatry.

However, fewer than half of people with the disorder were treated by a mental health professional, and only a quarter of those in lower-income countries sought treatment, according to the 11-nation study in the March issue of Archives of General Psychiatry.

The U.S. ranked higher in every category of bipolar disorder as did, in general, other high-income countries. One exception was Japan, which had a lifetime prevalence of 0.7%. Colombia, a lower-income nation, also bucked the trend with a relatively high prevalence of 2.6%.

The study included people with either bipolar I or II. Bipolar I has the more severe symptoms (both depression and mania) and bipolar II has less severe symptoms.
Despite the regional variations, there were many similarities across the countries studied, including comparable symptoms and the fact that many people with bipolar disorder also had another mental health problem, usually an anxiety disorder (most often panic attacks).

No matter where people lived, bipolar disorder caused serious problems and impairment. About three-quarters of people with depression and half of those with mania said their symptoms disrupted their work or social life and relationships disorder. For other uses, see Mania (disambiguation).

Mania

Mania, the presence of which is a criterion for certain psychiatric diagnoses, is a state of abnormally elevated or irritable mood, arousal, and/ or energy levels.[1] In a sense, it is the opposite of depression. The word derives from the Greek "μανία" (mania), "madness, frenzy"[2] and that from the verb "μαίνομαι" (mainomai), "to be mad, to rage, to be furious".[3]

In addition to mood disorders, individuals may exhibit manic behavior as a result of drug intoxication (notably stimulants such as cocaine or methamphetamine), medication side effects (notably steroids), or malignancy. However, mania is most often associated with bipolar disorder, where episodes of mania may alternate with episodes of major depression. Gelder, Mayou and Geddes (2005) suggests that it is vital that mania is predicted in the early stages because the patient becomes reluctant to comply to the treatment. The criteria for bipolar do not include depressive episodes and the presence of mania in the absence of depressive episodes is sufficient for a diagnosis. Regardless, even those who never experience depression experience cyclical changes in mood. These cycles are often affected by changes in sleep cycle (too much or too little), diurnal rhythms and environmental stressors.

Mania varies in intensity, from mild mania known as hypomania to full-blown mania with psychotic features including hallucinations, delusion of grandeur, suspiciousness, catatonic behavior, aggression, and a preoccupation with thoughts and schemes that may lead to self neglect.[4] Since mania and hypomania have also been associated with creativity and artistic talent,[5] it is not always the case that the clearly manic bipolar person will need or want medical assistance; such people will often either retain sufficient amount of control to function normally or be unaware that they have "gone manic" severely enough to be committed or to commit themselves ('commitment' means admission to a psychiatric facility). Manic individuals can often be mistaken for being on drugs or other mind-altering substances.

Imitation Love: How it Relates To Health

Nakema McKnight
Owner/Instructor at Cut It Up Hair Gallery

True-Lust is an emotion that comes to offset love. It is truly the enemy of Love because it tries to take love's place in your heart. You can be in love with a person, but then another person can come along to try to imitate love and distract you from the real love. That's why God is against adultery, because when you cheat on your spouse, you are really imitating the love you really have, and breaking your commitment to them. And you also hurt them to the point, where you feel that you may not have really been in love with them in the first place.

When you do that, God is angry because he knows that the lust you are feeling is not of his spirit and it will not last, but you may desire to break off your real love because the lust has caused you to doubt it! Lust does not last! Love does! If you act on lust, it will bring forth sin and sin punishes itself in the natural and then punishes eternally in the afterlife.

The enemy has fruits of his own spirit, and lust is one of them. When you are in love with someone, the enemy will come along to break up that love. He is the enemy of love, because he has never loved, and cannot love! He cannot love because love is God and if he loved, it would bring glory to the father of love, GOD! So, he tries to plant his spiritual seeds into your mind and heart by creating lust for forbidden things. But understand, God is not forbidding you to lust or commit sexual perversions because he wants to stop your fun, but God is trying to save your life.

Diseases, murder, loneliness, heartaches, discontentment, low self worth, bitterness, shamefulness, and spiritual death are all consequences of acting on lust. God wants you full of joy and living above all these things. He doesn't want you to grow the fruit of the devils seeds, but he wants you to live according to his promises! So, he defies lust with true love, and when we really love, we will defy lust and follow the real love that we have for one another.

"Can You Love Without Forgiveness?" was written by Pamela Nunley.  She noted in this article the importance of forgiveness. She gives detail information on the whole meaning of love, from a biblical standpoint of view and from the human emotion of passion. Pamela explains the struggle many have with forgiveness and the need to ask for spiritual intervention, in the book titled, POWER!

Noting the relationship between health and  forgiveness, Pamela states, " If you are in distress where you feel like everything you do turns out wrong, and you're sick and tired of being sick and tired you are just the person I am writing to."

Margine Mims, gives us a deeper understanding of what its like to live with a deep depression due to stress she suffered having suffered the loss of her husband, son, and grandson, who passed away within short periods of time. She gives details of the struggle she had with her health due to this metal disorder, and how she overcame it.

Hypertension, can be a major threat to an individual's health, if it is uncontrolled. It can cause stroke, heart disease, and other health problems. Having the knowledge to understand hypertension and other health factors, can help one to better care for their health. Listed below, is some very helpful information that can be used in a daily plan:

Health & Physical Fitness

We must use the knowledge God has given us and realize that when we fail to eat the proper foods,  and to take care of our bodies, we put ourselves at risk to endanger our health.  In chapter eight, Nutrition: God's Way for Mankind, lists the proper foods to eat, and the kinds of exercises to do to relieve tension, and calm the nerves, and to tone the body.

Health & Personal Care Products

As, I noted in a recent article I wrote, our attitude has an overall influence on our health. Healthy bone marrow is very necessary for good health. Bone marrow contributes to our lymphatic system and circulatory system- thereby, resulting in a healthy immune system. An unhealthy attitude places stress on the body systems, because it doesn't allow the mind to relax in a peaceful manner. If the mind is not relaxed, it causes the body to become tense and uncomfortable.

Type 2 - Diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes, is the most common form of diabetes. With this particular form of diabetes, the body either resists the effects of insulin or it doesn't produce enough insulin to maintain a normal glucose level. In other words, the body isn't properly metabolizing the sugar (glucose) that is needed for fuel.

Insulin is a hormone, that regulates the movement of sugar in the cells. In Type 2 Diabetes, the body is either resisting the effects of the insulin or it is simply not producing enough. If this condition is not treated, it can become a life-threatening situation.

Unfortunately, Medical Science have not discovered a cure for Type 2 Diabetes. However, they have provided somethings that can help those who have this condition, to live a healthy life style, if they use them.

Things Those with Type 2 Diabetes Can Do:

1   Get Medical Care
2. Take Diabetes Medication or Insulin
3.  Follow their Food Guide

The straight arteries supply the third (basal layer) of the endometrium.
The spiral arteries supply the spongy and compact layers of the endometrium.
Changes are noted in response to hormonal stimulation, during menstrual cycles. They begin with the onset of menses (between ages 10 and 17 which is thought to be normal) ending at menopause.

There are other related forms of depression noted in this book; Psychosis and Manic. Also, the types of Schizophrenia are discussed. I share an experience with my readers from my early childhood memories, one which shows the connection of stress and suicide in this particular case.
If stress isn't controlled, it can lead to psychological and physical harm.

According to a recent report on autism, there seem to be an increase in the number of cases detected.
" It's not clear whether this is due to better detection and reporting of autism, a real increase in the number of cases, or both,"  the author of the report, informed. There is no cure for autism,  although, early treatment can  help.

Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. It is one of a group of serious developmental problems called autism spectrum disorders or (ASD). Parents who have children with this disorder, can help educate our society regarding symptoms, and how best to care for children with ASD.

How to Help Eliminate the Hidden Enemy that Triggers Autism
"A new scientific review reveals there are a host of peer-reviewed, published theories that show possible connections between vaccines and autism. The author of the review, Helen Ratajczak, did something that no one else has apparently bothered to do -- review the complete body of published science since autism was first described in 1943."

Mental Health: Depression; Psychosis; Stress

Ellen J. Barrier

The first thing I will address is Mental Hygiene. It is the science of maintaining healthy mental, and emotional responses - and preventing psychosis. I will address psychosis later. When an individual experience any kind of  loss or a traumatic change in their life, the mental capacity of that individual, is deeply altered. The first response of every individual, is to search for the answer within themselves, to fix the problem. Within all of us lies emotions: In time of a broken relationship, the first response to fix the problem, is often the wrong one.
Because understandable there is disappointment, anger, and hurt. The physical part of us, want to get even. We want revenge, to hurt somebody, the same way they hurt us or worse. Therefore, we aren't thinking rational. That response will be too costly - there will be consequences to follow.

Within all of us, are our feelings. They come from deep within our spiritual being, called the Soul:
Feelings, of love, happiness, joy, strength, hope and positive thoughts. Those things become almost nonexistence in times of losses. The feelings of hopelessness, sadness, anger, fear, weakness, and negative thoughts, will push themselves to the front within the mind, and will overcome the strength that was always there, to find answers and fix problems by making rational decisions.

The majority of us, focus on the physical part of our beings. And take our Mental Health for granted. And never prepare ourselves to keep a healthy mind. In order to prevent psychosis, we have to work on our Mental Health daily. We have to keep looking for ways to strengthen our Mental Health, with the adequate nourishment and care. So that we will be able to maintain healthy mental and emotional responses to problems when they occur. This is Mental Hygiene.

There is another part of our being, that is called the soul. In that part of our makeup, we have to place  spiritual things, that will give us the ability to "Do the right thing," treating others the way we would like to be treated, being kind, doing good deeds, making the right decisions, using good judgment, putting priorities in the proper order and focusing closely on our health.

If the soul of a human being is unhealthy, then the mind is going to be unhealthy. And when mental trauma, occurs, and such individual look for strength within themselves, to fix their problems - they find they aren't strong enough. They loose the battle and become stressed. When the stress cannot be dealt with adequately, then depression set in, and when such an individual sinks into a deep depression, then psychosis will attack the mind - and can lead to suicide and murder of others. Next, I will talk about Mental Depression:

Mental Depression: A mental state characterized by dejection, lack of hope, and absence of cheerfulness. It is observed in Manic Depressive Psychoses.

Psychosis: (pertaining to the mind and soul) A condition manifested in the behavior, emotional reaction, and ideation of the  person. The individual has lost contact with reality, antisocial, shows abnormal behavior responses, and is unable to make righteous judgments.

Psychosis Manic - Depression: Unstable mood, sad and unhappy, can appear in any series of sequence alternating with periods of normalcy. But ordinarily are series where there are Psychotic Depression  or excessive well-being. Personality changes occurs.

*When we look into the depth of Mental Disorders, we find that they can become severe if not controlled:

Schizophrenia-A group of mental disorders characterized by disturbances in thinking, mood and behavior. An altered concept of reality and in some cases, delusions and hallucinations. Mood changes include  inappropriate emotional responses and loss of empathy, acts withdrawn, and regressive, bizarre behavior may be noted.

Simple Schizopherenic- The victim becomes dull emotionally, loses ambition and withdraw. There is no serious intellectual impairment.

Paranoid Schizopherenic- Develops extensive delusions of persecution. General characteristics are: sensitiveness, suspiciousness, jealousy, brooding, excessive self-consciousness, fixed ideas that develop into well-systematized logical delusions, megalomania (has the inability to distinguish between right and wrong)

Catatonic Schizophrenic-The victim is unresponsive. Has the tendency to assume and remain in a fixed posture, and refuse to move or talk. May show stereotyped excitement or stimulate a stupor, though lucid, and clearly recalls the episode if recovery occurs. A vague sense of being two personalities and of having changed occur.

Hebephrenic Schizophrenic- Often expresses childish behavior and mannerisms. Characterized  by bizarre, illogical and senseless thought processes and actions, delusions and hallucinations. Wild excitement one moment may be replaced by depression and crying, alternating with laughing hysterically often without cause and talking incoherently and excessively.

I decided to take you further into the deeper part of Mental disorders, to make the case for the importance of taking care of the whole body. There are many people who are suffering silently. These disorders could have been avoided, if they had received the proper help. There have to be a combination of help to cure Mental Disorders.
Help: Spiritual Counselling, Medical Treatment, Exercising, Nutrition, Finding a Hobby, Getting Out Of The House and engaging in things that treat the whole person.

I hadn't wanted to go this deep into Mental Disorders. However, I feel the need to, due to there are lots of individuals experiencing financial losses, loss of health, loss of their homes, and loss of marriages and other personal things of importance to them. I too have experienced losses. I understand how one can easily become a victim to stress. I wrote some of my own experiences in the book "How To Trust God When All Other Resources Have Failed"  I shared how I overcame the demons that robbed my sleep. and tried to destroy my life.  Chapter 14 - How to deal with stress.
